DANCING WITH THE STARS

Time for: DANCING WITH THE STARS

It's time again for us to enjoy (or not enjoy) this Vegas-style reality show.

Something Old, Something New
Something Borrowed and Something Blue

The operative word for this season is CHANGE.
Monday night TV was all hype!
Get us, the viewers, ready for another season of glitz, glamour, hip-swiveling, and booty-shaking .

Little by little the media has leaked changes within this gala dance program.
There are new contestants and there are new professional dancers too. This, in and of it's self, will provide more eye-candy.

To start: Samantha Harris, Tom Bergeron's co-host has moved on. She will now be seen on a regular TV show about entertainment. Good Luck, Samantha. Who will be replacing her? Keep your eyes and ears open since there have been several names in the media.
  • Changes in professional dancers includes Lacey Schwimmer, Karina Smirnoff and Jonathan Roberts. Are you as anxious to see their replacements as I am? All the best to the three.
  • Perhaps the biggest mystery is Paula Abdul. Where does she fit into the picture? What is her role. Certainly she has expertise in this area. Her experience makes her a good fit for the show and I'm sure the viewers will be glad to see her back in a "regular" capacity. There are even tongue-in-cheek statements indicating that she may go with Simon Cowell on his American- X-FACTOR venture. We'll have to wait for confirmation on that. Welcome to DWTS, Paula. We're glad to see you!
  • Rumors indicate that there will be some format change. Word has it that there will be a change in the "back-room" chat with contestants following their performances.
  • Season's contestants. - As announced on TV, there are eleven contestants. (Eleven! That leaves me to wonder if there is surprise contestant)

The Eleven Contestants

  • Buzz Aldrin - Apollo 11 Astronaut who landed on the moon 7/20/1969
  • Evan Lysacek - World Champion '09 and Olympic 2010 Gold Medalist figure skater. Skating since age 8 should help with his dancing. Perhaps DWTS is the reason he's not going back to figure skating competition as announced during the Olympics.
  • Chad Ochocinco ( Chad Johnson) NFL Wide Receiver, Cincinnati Bengals. Jersey # 85, hence his name change.
  • Jake Pavelka - Commercial Pilot, Claim to fame: Bachelor: On The Wings of Love. Are we ready for more Jake and even more... more Vienna? What's happening to his commercial piloting career?
  • Aiden Turner- B.D. 1977- English Actor, All My Children (2002-2009. Left the soap to pursue his acting career.
  • Pamela Anderson - Actress, Baywatch, Star Celebrity. (Need we say more)
  • Erin Andrews - ESPN since 2004. Yea, we do remember her troubles- thus her celebrity.
  • Shannen Doherty - A TV icon. Numerous roles to her credit. Beverly Hills 90210, to mention just one.
  • Kate Gosselin - Mother of twins and sextuplets. Of course, known for her TV show, Kate Plus Eight. Seems as though the eight children don't keep her busy enough. New marital status, new hair, new careers.
  • Neicy Nash - Star of "Clean House" seen on STYLE Network, TV. Will she be able to "clean house" on DWTS and emerge the winner of the glitter ball trophy?
  • Nicole Scherzinger -Born in Hawaii, Lives in Kentucky. Better known as singer with the Pussycat Dolls. She should have some dance ability to bring with her. It seems like all the busy people find time to be busier.

Amazing! Does that get you ready for the show?
