The Episode in a Capsule:
Scenario: The nine teams were leaving Peurto Varas, Chile by way of a six hour bus trip over the Andes Mountains into Argentina. Upon arrival in Argentina they were to then drive to an old saloon, the El Boliche Viejo, the famous bar where Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid hid while in Argentina. While there, one member of each team was challenged to The Gnome in the Wall Game. This was a game of five-star-stud against the Travelocity Roaming Gnome.
A Roadblock was the clue received in nearby Pena Gaucha. The Roadblock was a steer-roping contest with a horned hay bale. From 18 feet, one member of each team was to lasso the steer, pull it close enough to take the next clue which gave them directions for the next leg of their journey which was Puente Nirihuau. On the cliffs over looking the Puente Nirihuau river the found their next clue which turned out to be a Detour.
The Detour:- Horse Sense or Horse Power
The Horse Sense challenge involved using a set of directional coordinates, given to them by a gunslinger, to locate a bag of stolen money which was buried. Using old-fashioned methods of direction each team set out to find their bag of of stolen money. After finding their bag they were to take it to the lead bandit at the train station. At the train station the lead bandit checked the coordinates written on the bag with those on their clue and if they matched he gave them their next clue. The Horse Power challenge involved going to the local Polo field and after donning appropriate attire and using a practice pony, were to score a goal in nine or fewer swings of their mallet. The prize was a winner's cup with an inscription giving the name of a nearby ranch - the pit stop.

It goes without saying that each clue brought with it numerous individual and team challenges, frustrations, victories and defeats. Poor decisions by teams often hindered their race for the pit stop. The episode was not without its own drama. From the beginning the team of Brent and Caite, the dating models were given perhaps the greatest challenge - illness and hospitalization which put them last to depart for this leg of the journey. Personal relationships, and wrong choices presented challenges to the other teams.
The first team to arrive at the pit stop was the cowboy brothers, Jet and Cord. Good for them! A nice reward too. A trip for two from Travelocity to Padagonia. The final team checking in at the pit stop were Monique and Shawne, moms and attorneys. Surprised? With the fact that Brent and Caite were forced to suffer a late departure it was likely that they might be the last to arrive and thus be eliminated.
Which team do you think will be the winning team next episode?
Which team will be the losers and be eliminated next episode?
Will there be an elimination next episode? Every episode does not end with an elimination.
That's All, Folks........... Look forward to Episode #4 on March 7, 2010 CBS at 8:00 PM, EST.
