DANCING WITH THE STARS 10 EPISODE3

This week the contestants were to present a story through dance.


1. Evan Lysacek & Anna Trabunskya performed a Quick Step. Judges commented that he still needs to work on his feet but that the performance was energetic and a great twinkling. Score: 26/30
2. Buzz Aldrin & Ashly Costa danced the Waltz portraying a father's return from the military. It was described as having innocent charm and a good portrayal of the story, but that the technique was not good. Score: 13/30
3. Jake Pavelka & Chelsie Hightower danced the Quick Step. Judges expressed that it was nice story telling and had good production value. Really great entertainment. Jake still has some work to do in regards to his leg work and that he needs to straighten up.
Score: 21/30
4. Niecy Nash & Louie Van Amstel performed a Waltz which told of a struggle between two lovers. The judges said that it was a good job. Niecy is an emotional dancer and although it was a good performance, Niecy needs to work on her feet. Score: 21/30
5. Chad Ochocinco & Cheryl Burke performing a Paso Doble portrayed love-rejection. The judges said that it was a better performance this week. They commented on his posture in the dance and said that he was quite focused. His determination was acknowledged. Score: 20/30
6. Pamela Anderson & Damian Whitewood danced the Pasa Doble' . It was described as a good performance although it needs refinement. It was felt that Pamela threw herself "off" a couple times but that there was good intensity and focus. Score: 21/30
7. Aiden Turner & Edyta Sliwinska performed the Quick Step. Judges said that Aiden looked happy and was skipping and had better posture this week. Aiden's confidence is growing. Score: 20/30
8. Erin Andrews & Maksim Chmerkovsky did the Waltz. Judges offered that she needs to link her movements and although it seemed to have a boring start is was enjoyable. The props used added dimension and it was breathtakenly artistic. Score: 23/30
9. Kate Gosselin & Tony Dovolani performed a Paso Doble'. Kate is just having problems learning to dance. The performance was described as "odd" and very hard to watch. She got through the dance but that it was too "pedestrian". She was described as "playing the part" and told that it looked as though she was "walking". Score: 15/30
10. Nicole Scherzinger & Derek Hough. Their Quick Step was described as too literal and that they had broken the rules by doing a lift and by breaking "hold" on her partner. Despite these seemingly negative remarks it was described as an incredible performance. Score: 23/30
Tom Bergeron updated the audience regarding the upcoming Macy's Design A Dance ... It will be Melissa Ryecroft and Joey Fatone doing a Tango. This week the audience will be asked to submit suggestions for their costumes.

  • The guest for the evening was Reba McIntyre. She performed several songs and the audience was given a performance by the professionals appropriate to each of her songs.
  • Len Goodman, Judge, gave his analysis of Monday night. In a few words, it was full of chills, spills, tears and laughter.
  • The judges requested that Evan Lysacek and Anna Trabunskya give an encore performance of their Quick Step.
  • It was also announced that next week would be a "double vote" week. That is; the judges would give one vote for technique and one vote for overall performance.
