WEDNESDAY, APRIL 7,2010
Ryan Seacrest introduced the show by informing the audience about "Idol Gives Back" - the charitable endeavor under sponsorship of the show.
The guests for the evening were Rihianna, Jason Dorulo, and David Archuletta.
Voting Results
The bottom three: Michael Lynche, Aaron Kelly and Andrew Garcia.
To make the long story short. . . Michael Lynche was declared to be the contestant with the lowest number of votes and requested to perform in order to "save" himself.
The Judges unanimously voted to "save" Michael to see him return next week.
It was announced that next week, Adam Lambert would be the mentor
and that two contestants would be voted off.
