Cha-Cha Challenge Night

Season 10 is three weeks from awarding another Mirror Ball Trophy. It's getting exciting now! Every vote counts; vote within the first 30 minutes following the show. Contestants will perform an individual dance and then will be part two teams of three couples each to be judged on the best team performing the Cha-Cha. The score for their team Cha-Cha performance will be added to their individual dance score.

1.) Erin Andrews & Maksim Chmerkovsky - performed a Quick Step. Carrie Ann complimented Erin on her dance stating that her lines were fantastic. Len said that if was her best dance yet. Bruno complimented her on being lightning fast but cautioned that she was still a little tense in the shoulders.

Scores : 27 + 24 Total: 51/60

2.) Chad Ochocinco & Cheryl Burke performed a Viennese Waltz. Happy Birthday to Cheryl and N-I-C-E gift from Chad. Bruno was surprised how graceful and gentle a football player could be and complimented him on his focus. Len was most complimentary saying that his arms were "full of fluidity" despite some disagreement from Carrie Ann and Bruno. He said that tonight 5/3/2010 he became a contender. Carrie Anne said that there is nothing sexier than finding a man who is tender.

Scores: 23 +27 Total: 50/60

3.) Nicole Scherzinger & Derek Hough performed a Waltz. Carrie Ann went all when she said that Nicole was "by far the best dancer we've ever had on our show". Despite that she did offer that her connections were off just a little. Len offered that she had a little trouble with the hold but that the dance was good. Bruno said that the dancing was as close as dancing royalty as you can be. He too agreed that she made a few mistakes but that it was sooo close to professional.

Scores: 27+27 Total: 54/60

4.) Pamela Anderson & Damian Whitewood performed a Waltz. Len said that this was a quiet dance tonight for her. He feels that she needs to work a little more in firming up her upper body. Bruno again remarked about her always being in character and that tonight was no exception. He said it showed pure excellence of romance. Carrie Ann saw a huge improvement in her leg movement and that she had a good tone for a waltz.

Score 24+27 Total: 51/60

5.) Niecy Nash & Louis Van Amstel performed a Quick Step. Bruno complimented her saying that her footwork was better than ever. Carrie Ann loved it, saying "Your best dance, ever!" Len said it was the best dance she had ever done but stresses that she needs to hold her rib cage up.

Scores: 25+24 Total: 49/60

6.) Evan Lysacek & Anna Trabundskaya performed an Argentine Tango. Carrie Ann described him as the "Eye of the Tiger" Furthermore, she said that he was sexy, refined, and demonstrated power and control. Len summed his performance up in these words: "Nice on Ice, Good on Wood". Bruno complimented him by saying that he "danced like an alpha male". They were given a standing ovation and the judges score confirmed it. This performance earned the first perfect score of Season 10. CONGRATULATIONS ! EVAN.

CHA-CHA CHALLENGE
Team GAGA: Pamela Anderson, Chad Ochocinco, and Nicole Shcerzinger and their partners.
Team MADONNA: Niecy Nash, Erin Andrews and Evan Lysacek and their partners.
Each team performed a Cha-Cha routine whereby each Celebrity contestant and partner performed a solo portion of the dance and all three couples danced together. Both teams were very good. Team GAGA scored 27

Team MADONNA scored a 24.

TUESDAY @ 8:00 PM - THE RESULTS

Len started the night off with his usual critique of the previous night.

• He enthusiastically said he felt that it was the best night of Season 10.
• He said that Erin's Quick Step was "fabulous" and that Chad displayed "gentility" and "smoothness" He again praised Nicole for her great dancing with a difficult routine. He described Pamela's performance as quiet and understated, but great. Evan "blew every one out of the water"
• In closing he said that as if the individual performances were not enough, the Cha-Cha was fantastic.
• He feels that this Season is giving us the closest competition ever.

The Encore Performance - Team GaGa performing their Cha-Cha routine. Pamela Anderson was replaced by Chelsie Hightower since Pamela has had a leg injury.

The Special Guest Performers: Train and The Macy's Stars of Dance.

• Train performed from their 2009 CD - Save Me, San Francisco; Hey, Soul Sister and their single Drops of Jupiter (2001), with the professional dancers from DWTS performing during both of their performances.
• The Macy's Stars of Dance presented the Cirque du Soleil, Viva Elvis performance of Blue Seude Shoes. This is a show currently at the Aria Resort & Casino, Las Vegas which is a tribute to the life and music of Elvis Presley. Priscilla Presley was in the audience.
• Melissa Ryecroft presented a comedic skit about the various jobs involved in the production of the show.
